Read about how some of the world's best photographers work and the inside stories behind their most exciting assignments

Intro: One of the more interesting things I get to do as a writer who specializes in writing about photography for various photo magazines is to regularly interview some of the world's great photographers. There's no better way to find out how the best photos in the world are made than to ask the photographers that make them. I've always found it very rewarding that most photographers--regardless of how famous or accomplished they are--seem quite willing to share the secrets of their accomplishments. In fact, I've rarely met a photographer who wasn't willing to answer every question I put to them whether the questions were about how they got their assignments, who their clients were, what kind of equipment they use, where their ideas came from or how they made specific images. And as you'll see in the first two profiles, these photographers also lead very inspiring lives!
