Photography Books by Jeff Wignall
cover of jeff wignall's exposure photo workshop book
My new book Expsoure Photo Workshop is now available. This is a total revision (every single page has been revised) with hundreds of new photos. Shutterbug Magazine said of the original edition: "Possibly the best book on the subject ever published." The new edition has a brand new section on RAW format, as well as sections on HDRI (high-dynamic-range-imaging) and the new MILC (mirrorless-interchangeable-lens-camera) cameras.
The NEW Joy of Digital Photography

I'm happy to announce that my latest book, The New Joy of Digital Photography, has been released
. The original edition of this book sold more than 80,000 copies and this new edition features hundreds of new photos and a completely revised text. If you're new to digital photography (or photography in general) and want a good overview, Joy is a great place to start. The book covers a wide spectrum of basic topics including choosing a camera, basic and advanced exposure, camera handling, photo sharing, natural lighting, as well as several important advanced topics, including: HDRI (high dynamic range imaging), RAW format.  There are also great tips on photographing popular subjects like nature, landscapes, wildlife and people.

Jeff Wignall's Digital Photography Crash Course

This brand new book (November 2010) has reached the Top 10 among all photo books on Amazon! I'm really psyched to see the book doing so well because I had a ton of fun writing and photogrpahing it. If you're looking for some quick inspiration and some fresh new shooting tips, check it out. The book contains nearly 150 two-minute tips for shooting all kinds of subjects from flower close-ups to nighttime carnivals to air shows. Hundreds of photos and lots of great shooting ideas!

Winning Digital Photo Contests

If you've ever thought about entering and winning a digital photo contest, you need this book. Illustrated by more than 100 contest-winning photos, the book is pure inspiration. All of the photos were shot by amateurs and you simply won't believe how beautiful the photos are--just amazing. Lots of contests listed, too.

Focus on Digital Photography Basics

Just the basics, ma'am. This is the best basic book on digital photography, bar none. It assumes no prior knowledge of cameras or digital photography and you'll come out of it a skilled, knowledgeable photographer. A beautiful book to look at, too.
