Landscapes are one of my favorite photographic subjects and probably the thing that I photograph most--particularly when I'm traveling. There is nothing I like more than driving through a pretty countryside (or a city) and finding interesting views to photograph. The photos here were
made in a wide variety of locations, including: Connecticut, Maine,
Nevada, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Texas, Utah and Virginia. I almost always
work either very early or very late in the day--very few of my landscapes
are shot in the middle of the day because the lighting simply isn't as
interesting. I also like to shoot a lot both before and after storms
when cloud formations and fog or mist create a sense of mystery or drama. I always work with a tripod and often work long after sunset--photographing by the light of twilight, or in the light of a full moon.
